Classified Advertisements via SMS

Nawras has joined hands with Muscat Press & Publishing House (MPPH) to provide an easy, fast and convenient service to its customers.

Publishing a classified advert in the newspaper has never been easier. Nawras customers can simply send an SMS containing the text they wish to advertise and it can be published in Times of Oman or Al Shabiba daily newspapers.

How to place a classified advertisement request?

Simply create a new SMS starting with the keyword CLS followed by the text you wish you advertise. Example: CLS Car for Sale 1.8 litre model 2009, call 9xxxxxxx”. The SMS should be sent to 90018.

How does it work?

  1. Advertisement text request is sent to 90018 (charge is 10 bz per SMS)

  2. Text is reviewed by newspaper editors

  3. If text is approved, customer will receive a confirmation SMS, with the publishing date and the charge of OMR 2.490 is applied

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Maximum length of advertisement is 250 characters

  2. Requests sent and approved before 1:30 pm may be published the next day, otherwise they will be published the following day
