Emergency Calls
You can make an emergency call from your mobile handset by dialling 9999 or 112. You will be directed to the public emergency centre, which in turn will direct you to the help you need.

Caller Identification

The Caller Identification service shows you the number of the person who is calling you.
This allows you to greet the incoming calls accordingly. You can even choose whether to answer the call or not.
Caller Identification is already pre-activated and requires no settings. If you want the name of your caller to appear on your screen, add his or her telephone number to the contacts list on your mobile handset or SIM-card.

Call Forward

Call Forward is a free of charge service that enables you to forward calls intended for your mobile handset to other telephone numbers in Oman, fixed or mobile, or to your Voice Mail.

There are 4 ways in which you can forward your calls:

  1. Forward all calls unconditionally*. All incoming calls will be forwarded with no alert.
    Activation Code: **21*Telephone Number#CALL
    Deactivation Code: ##21#CALL
    Get Status: *#21#CALL

  2. Forward all calls not answered in 20 seconds. All incoming calls will be forwarded if there is no answer within 20 seconds.
    Activation Code: **61*Telephone Number#CALL
    Deactivation Code: ##61#CALL
    Get Status: *#61#CALL

  3. Forward all calls if the phone is out of reach. All incoming calls will be forwarded straightaway to the forwarded destination / number.
    Activation Code: **62*Telephone Number#CALL
    Deactivation Code: ##62#CALL
    Get Status: *#62#CALL

  4. Forward all calls when the phone is busy.
    Activation Code: **67*Telephone Number#CALL
    Deactivation Code: ##67#CALL
    Get Status: *#67#CALL

  5. Deactivate all call forwards.
    Activation Code: #002#CALL

*The Unconditional Call Forward has priority.
CALL also means SEND or YES or OK depending on your mobile handset.
Alternatively, you can set the Call Forward via the menu on your mobile handset. For instructions please refer to your mobile handset user guide.
Please note that calls cannot be forwarded to toll-free or international numbers.
The default setting for all the conditional Call Forward options outlined in the box is forwarded to your Voice Mail. Forward to Voice Mail is free of charge.

Call Wait / Call Hold
Call Wait / Call Hold service allows you to handle multiple calls at the same time.
Call Wait gives you a soft dual beep tone that another call is waiting to be answered while you are already busy on the phone. Call Hold allows you to put a call on hold in order to make or receive another call simultaneously.

  • To activate Call Wait / Call Hold, press *43#CALL.

  • To deactivate Call Wait / Call Hold, press *43#CALL.

  • To use Call Wait / Call Hold, choose from the following options:

  • To accept an incoming call and end the original call, press 1CALL.

  • To park the original call and accept the incoming call or make additional outgoing calls, press 2CALL.

  • To swap between two calls on the same line, press 2CALL.

  • To end the current call and return to a parked call, press 1CALL.
    Please note that the standard setting when your line is busy is Call Forward to Voice Mail. This can be overridden by activation of Call Wait / Call Hold.

Conference Call
The Conference Call service is ideal for discussing business matters or organising events. It allows you to speak with up to five people at the same time.

Starting Conference Call

To add a caller to your conference call:

  1. Put other participants, if any, on hold, press 2CALL.

  2. Establish call with next participant.

  3. Connect all participants to the Conference Call, press 3CALL.

  4. Repeat step 1 to 3 until all required participants are included in the Conference Call.

Ending Conference Call
As the conference initiator, or chairman, you can end the Conference Call for all participants by simply hanging up.

If you have an older mobile handset model, you need to make sure it can accept conference calls. For instructions please refer to your mobile handset user guide.
