International MMS is another pleasingly different service from Oman’s award winning mobile operator. Nawras, the Middle East Mobile Operator of the Year, now offers you the widest coverage for International MMS.

Nawras customers have the greatest selection of destinations covered by this service, enabling them to send and receive international MMS from 40 different mobile operators in 26 countries abroad, including Etisalat, Du, Mobily, Qtel, Wataniya and other operators.

Customers can enjoy using this new service straightaway as no special settings are needed. One simply needs to enter the international code and number after creating an MMS and it is ready to send.

Most importantly, this service is launched with the customary great value that Nawras customers can always depend on and impressively, with the convenience of one attractive price for messages of any size up to 200Kb!

At only 150 Bz per MMS, Nawras is offering better value for a large message of 200Kb than available elsewhere, in fact, just at half the price of the alternative on the market.

MMS is also known as ‘picture messaging’ or multimedia messaging. It is an advanced messaging service that allows composition, sending and receiving of messages using all forms of media, including text, pictures, audio and even video clips. MMS capabilities depend on the individual mobile handset, which are shown in the user guide.

When Nawras Mousbak (prepaid) or Nawras Ajel (postpaid) customers start using their Nawras SIM-card, they can automatically send picture messages if the mobile handset has the correct configuration for Picture Messaging. Colour pictures taken with built-in handset cameras can be combined with text, audio and video files and sent to other Nawras customers or to customers of other mobile operators internationally. Picture messages can be received from another mobile in the same manner as other messages are. These MMS may contain images, sounds, or video clips.

Many Nawras customers are already enjoying the creativity and convenience of MMS and this new service takes that enjoyment to a higher level, allowing picture messages to be sent to and received from colleagues, friends and family in other countries.

When travelling abroad, Nawras customers can also send an SMS with the keyword ROAMING or IMMS to 90500, for information about this service, and in these cases, being out of Oman, roaming charges will apply.
